As a Systems Administrator, the individual will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and operating computer systems and servers. In this role, the Systems Administrator will install hardware and software, and participate in research and development.  In addition, the Administrator will actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions. 

Responsibilities

  • Resolves all IAVM vulnerabilities reported from the NEC on systems managed by the UCCS team at United States Army Forces Command
  • Works with team members to ensure over 250 servers are in compliance with all Security Technical Implementations Guides (STIGS), which must be reviewed quarterly
  • Performs troubleshooting and diagnosis to hardware/software network failures, and provide resolutions for Microsoft Server 2012R2 and applications hosted on server 20122R2
  • Completes monthly patching maintenance for 2012R2 servers
  • Administers and monitors over 1,200 user accounts and corresponding NIPR and SIPR workstations on Active Directory within the US Army
  • Directs and recommends modifications to Help Desk procedures to ensure the highest level of efficiency and customer service
  • Executes daily ticket completion and manage multiple software/hardware issues simultaneously while ensuring the end user has other network resources available if their software issue cannot be resolved expediently
  • Ensures the timely execution and completion of software maintenance, troubleshooting, user assistance, system security, installations of upgrades and product support for windows 7 NIPR and SIPR
  • Ensures the integrity and availability of network resources using the Remedy Maintenance Systems
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes the maintenance, troubleshooting, user assistance, System security, installations of upgrades, and product support for Windows 10, Microsoft Suites 2013, VOIP, and Microsoft Share Point 2013
  • Completes work orders via remote desktop software and works in Active Directory to ensure user accounts and computers are fully secure and operational
  • Administers Skype for Business (SfB) servers as a backup when SfB Engineer is unavailable
  • Creates troubleshooting Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for server maintenance and known issues on various servers
  • Maintains operating system/server for Nuance Secure Print for FORSCOM HQ
  • Maintains and creates Hardware Visio drawings of Data Centers
  • Works on assigned servers; RMS,TMS, Nuance, Print server, etc.
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • Must be able to receive and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance
  • Active Security + Certification is required
  • Active ITIL Foundations Certification is required

Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • Computing Environment (CE) Certification preferred (VCP / Server +/ MCSA /etc.)
  • Skype for Business (SfB) server knowledge preferred
