Project Manager works collaboratively with their assigned teammate throughout the lifespan of a project from commencement to completion This position provides guidance for all matters associated with specific project endeavors within the US Army's Human Resource Command.  

Responsibilities

  • Manages complex projects from start to finish

  • Creates and maintains all project documentation and artifacts (such as; project charter, scope statement, project plan, etc.)

  • Creates and maintains project schedule in Microsoft Project

  • Facilitates weekly project meetings with stakeholders; coordinates with project team daily via phone or email

  • Provides weekly executive summaries to project sponsors

  • Creates and submits project slides to contracting officer representative (COR) on a weekly basis

  • Briefs government decision makers (Col, Generals, Commanding officers) as needed

  • Addresses questions, concerns, throughout the project

  • Acts as a liaison between customers, vendors and employer.

  • Coordinates teleconferences, as needed

  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office¬†

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • PMP Certification

  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Federal clearance

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

  • PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable

  • Prior experience working as a Federal Contractor or working in a Government environment
