As a Jr. SharePoint Content Administrator, the individual will be responsible for designing, supporting, and configuring of SharePoint Sites. In this role, the Content Administrator will provide training to the user community on intranet and internet portals, extranets, and team sites. In addition, the SharePoint Content Administrator will work as a member of the Operations Team to support the administration, management, design and implementation of SharePoint of processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Works with the client and project leads to shape content management strategies and processes that promote proper information documentation, knowledge retention and transfer
  • Provides basic site and content administration support by managing permissions, and creating and maintaining sites, workspaces, workflows, lists, and libraries
  • Gathers and documents processes and procedures, day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks, ensures quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting customer schedules and deadlines
  • Works with clients and team members to structure and organize content in accordance with documentation requirements and processes
  • Assists developers with testing custom solutions, creating process documentations and troubleshooting technical problems with SharePoint 2010/2013
  • Interviews stakeholders to gather their SharePoint site requirements
  • Documents stakeholder’s requirements to determine the level of effort to implement those requirements and develop a timeline for site implementation
  • Creates stakeholder website using existing template with basic site and content administration support using SharePoint
  • Provides automation and increased efficiency to a user base
  • Participates in projects and requirements gathering with end users across multiple departments to create, enhance, and improve their SharePoint services and group sites
  • Monitors and reports problems with SharePoint services
  • Generates and analyzes website statistics and reports, as needed
  • Supports development and maintains technical manuals, guidelines, and governance policies
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with designing, building, and managing information structures and taxonomies in enterprise-level content management portals, particularly SharePoint
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with SharePoint site management, site content management, permissions management, and workflow design and implementation
  • Prior experience with writing and documenting processes for technical implementations
  • Ability to work with client and team members effectively and proactively
  • Must possess excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience building and maintaining Content Management Platforms
  • Familiarity with using front-end scripting languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Query to customize solution front-end is a plus
  • Experience with creating and formulating SharePoint workflows
  • Experience with creating and/or designing navigational graphics
  • Experience training users on SharePoint functionality
  • Must have and maintain a Public Trust Clearance or higher Clearance Level
