As an IT Technical Project Manager, the individual will provide support for IT project management activities at the network enterprise level, from planning to close.  In this role, the TPM will oversee all aspects of the project including vendor interactions and coordination, lead a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects with interdependencies to monitor, track and report. This position will also coordinate with other contractors, government personnel, and primary stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and technical management of the project
  • Provides applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources
  • Receives operational guidance from organizational leadership and manages all project and task requirements accordingly
  • Provides advice to organizational leadership on engineering efforts and provide technical recommendations for current projects or initiatives being considered
  • Applies project management best practices in the synchronization and coordination of the development and execution of all requirements, ensuring engineering projects are completed in a timely manner with quality results
  • Ensures all project team members receive proper training, care, and access to the tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project and task requirements. Makes technical requests and suggestions based on operational analysis of the environment
  • Provides accurate and timely reporting to key leaders and stakeholders to include consolidating the Weekly Status Report and reviewing the Projects Tracker for accuracy
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • BA/BS Degree (preferably in Computer Science/Management) or 10 years of related technical skills and experience¬†
  • Must have project management experience
  • Must have a PMP Certification
  • Five (5) years systems and/or Network analysis
  • Strong knowledge of all the computer-based tools for project management
  • Experience with SmartSheets preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge and experience providing applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities
  • Must have knowledge of how to analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and technical management of projects
  • Ability to operate in an environment that requires frequent political-level customer engagement in a Combined Joint-Operational Military environment, while supporting an organization in military education environment
  • Must have and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • Five (5) years management and supervision of substantive military hardware/software
