Administrative Assistant -NDU

Location:Ft. McNair - DC

The Administrative Assistant provides support and asset management services to ITD and Government customer.


  • Responsible for coordinating meetings and conference calls, maintains calendars and appointments
  • Creates and maintains internal files, folders and documents
  • Prepares correspondence, sends, and responds to emails
  • Assists with information gathering for required reporting
  • Data entry into software and reporting portals 
  • Manages the Government on-boarding process of New Hires start to finish
  • Manages the Government off-boarding process for individuals transition off contract
  • Manages Government assets - assist with inventories and updating asset management database
  • Ability to write and edit low-mid level technical user documents, as needed
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • High school diploma is required
  • Minimum of Five years of administrative support, preferably in military or government work environment 
  • Must have prior working experience working with Microsoft Office  
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills with PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Must be a professional team player with the ability to take initiative 
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Approachable, professional demeanor, excellent customer service skills 
  • Capability to multitask and handle multiple projects / tasks with competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to be resourceful and problem solve quickly and at times work under pressure
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Resourceful individual with effective time management skills
  • Ability to work with discretion and highly confidential information
  • Ability to take direction well from multiple people and work alongside a remote team
  • Ability to redirect priorities as needed 
  • Strong skills with Windows 10 and Windows applications
  • Must be able to receive and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience using MS SharePoint
